Who We Are
TPIA is a UK based not-for-profit organisation, registered at Companies House. Our members are FCA-regulated payment institutions (authorised or registered).
We offer Associate Membership to Firms with ancillary interest in the sector, such as technology providers and professional services.
We work closely with regulators, such as the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the Payment Systems Regulator (PSR), His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) and the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS), to represent our members’ interests effectively.

Our Leadership
The Association is led by an Executive Chair.
Catherine Dixon serves as Executive Chair for 2025.
The Executive Chair is supported by an Advisory Committee comprised of Members selected at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). The Committee meets monthly to shape the direction of the Association, its strategic business plan and activities. Current advisory committee members are:

A voice for the sector
Our principal role is to provide a platform where members can come together to meet peers, collectively address common concerns and move to action. We facilitate active communication with regulators, banks, government, and policymakers on critical issues which impact on the sector.
Key areas of focus:
- Response to government regulatory consultations
- Lobby for fair access to banking services for Payment Firms
- Provide feedback on new regulatory initiatives (Consumer Duty, APP Fraud)
- Contribute to the vision for the future of the UK payments industry
